Dr. Bruce Jamieson runs the Applied Snow and Avalanche Research Program at the University of Calgary and has a number of publications and theses on his website. Click here to link to them.

Dr. Dave McClung heads the University of British Columbia Avalanche Research Group. A list of their publications, with links to some of them, can be found by clicking on the "Research" button of their website.

Pascal Haegli, a PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia, has posted a great list of literature on the web, including many abstracts.

The Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) is making their technical reports available online.  They have also posted a PDF of the 1990 International Classification for Seasonal Snow on the Ground on this webpage, a document no snow nerd should be without! Check out their website for all available titles.

Avalanche.org maintains the Moonstone Library, with numerous classic and tough-to-find articles online.

The Avalanche Review is the publication of the American Avalanche Association.  It is published six times a year during the winter, and it contains a variety of articles of interest to avalanche professional, including some technical articles.  Check out the AAA website for information about how to subscribe.

The Avalanche News is published by the Canadian Avalanche Association several times a year, and publishes articles of interest to avalanche professionals, including some technical articles. 

The Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center has posted a number of articles on their website.

The National Snow and Ice Data Center provides a list of some recent technical publications and links to other sources for information on snow, ice, glaciers and more.
