Water in the PNW: Moving Science into Policy and Action is the Pacific Northwest Water Quality Team's fourth conference. It will be held this fall at the Skamania Lodge (www.skamania.com) in Stevenson, Washington on November 7-9, 2007. This regional conference merges water science and policy to promote collaboration between scientists and policy makers on water-policy decisions. A call for papers and posters will be sent out soon. More information will be available soon at www.swwrc.wsu.edu or by calling 509-335-3530.

Water Quality Training Opportunity

The event was hosted by the Western IPM Center and brought together a diverse group of over 80 people concerned about pesticide use and water quality. The following web site holds information from this workshop.

PNWWATER 72 Update

The Pacific Northwest program works to improve water quality management through educational knowledge and extension programming that emerges from a research base. The Land Grant Universities throughout the Pacific Northwest, Water Research Institutes, and EPA Region 10 have formed a partnership to provide research and education to northwest communities about protecting or restoring the quality of water resources. This partnership is being supported in part by the USDA's Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension System (CSREES).
