The National Passport Information Center (NPIC) of the Passport Services Office at the United States Department of State (DOS), provides information and services to American citizens about obtaining, renewing, replacing or correcting a passport.

Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, except federal holidays. Automated information is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Representatives are also available to assist with emergency situations in which travelers are leaving in seven days or less.
