The National Passport Information Center (NPIC) of the Passport Services Office at the United States Department of State (DOS), provides information and services to American citizens about obtaining, renewingreplacing or correcting a passport.

Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, except federal holidays. Automated information is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Representatives are also available to assist with emergency situations in which travelers are leaving in seven days or less.

Please note: Individuals located outside the United States and its territories should contact the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate for assistance.
