Urban and Community Forestry

The purpose of this program is to help create community awareness of the importance of trees, forests, and other greenspace in sustaining healthy, viable cities, communities and neighborhoods; improve the social, natural, and economic environment of urban and community areas; and enable the development of self-sufficient local urban and community forestry programs. Technical and financial assistance is provided to State Foresters for program delivery.

For additional information on the Urban and Community Forestry Program, contact Barbara Hollenbeck, Urban Forestry Coordinator at 503/808-2351.
