What's New:

Registration Open - Nutrient Management Planning Course.  Registration is now open for the 2009 edition of the Nutrient Management Planning Course.  This two-part course covers the key concepts of nutrient management planning.  Follow the link for course flyer and more information.

Registration Open - Advanced Nutrient Management Course: This is a new two-day course focusing this year on "Nitrogen Management in Forage and Row Crops." There are no pre-requisites for this course.  Follow the link for more information. 

Amended Cole County Judge's Ruling:  On December 9, 2008 Cole County Judge Patricia S. Joyce released an amended ruling about a potential CAFO operation near the Village of Arrow Rock.

SNMP-2.0 Released: Spatial Nutrient Management Planner (SNMP) is a geographical information system (GIS) that helps collect and report spatial information used in nutrient management planning.  SNMP-2.0 was designed for ESRI ArcGIS 9.2 or 9.3 platforms.  Download this new tool at no charge. Version 2.0.0026 released Dec. 4, 2008 checks for installation prerequisites.

2008 has been a really wet year!  To date 2008 is the wettest year on record, wetter than 1993.  Dr. Pat Guinan, State Climatologist, put together a presentation highlighting some of the exceptional weather events from 2008.  This information was presented at the 2008 University of Missouri Swine Institute.
