Objective/Intended Use
Develop a health assessment document (toxicological review) that characterizes the chronic health hazards by inhalation and oral exposure pathways. Key information from the health assessment will be summarized in IRIS (Integrated Risk Information System) files. This assessment will provide health hazard information for risk management programs which analyze public health issues asscoiated with antimony exposures.Abstract
The existing IRIS summary for Antimony and Compounds warrants updating. A new assessment has been started and it will include non-cancer and cancer endpoints and, where information is available, oral reference doses, inhalation reference concentration, and cancer weight-of-evidence and dose response relationships which lead to the derivation of unit risk and slope factors, if appropriate.Project Status
A draft of the assessment document was completed by a contractor on July 31, 2002. It is currently be prepared for internal EPA review to be followed by a customary external peer review and public comment. As of July 2004 a schedule for future milestones is being developed.Downloads/Related Links
