CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University will host “Sabor Latino,” a celebration of Latino culture, on Wednesday, April 23, at Arnold Dining Hall.
The event, which runs from 5 to 8 p.m., costs $6. Tickets will be available at the door, or in advance from any of the University Housing and Dining Services dining halls.
The celebration also commemorates the life and ideals of Cesar Chavez. It will feature live mariachi music by the group, Los Palmeros, and acoustic music by Jay Walker.
Menu items include stuffed pork loin with chili peppers, beef chili Colorado, rollitos de pescado al cilantro (fish rolls), tacos, chili rellenos, chicken tinga, Camarones a la Veracruzana, and tofu verde.
The event is sponsored by University Housing and Dining, the Casa Latina/o de OSU, the Centro Cultural Cezar Chavez, the College Assistance Migrant Program’s (CAMP) Multicultural Community, and the Sabor Learning Community.
