Historic Buildings Preservation Technical Resources:  Technical specifications, guidance, and resource information for planning and executing historic building projects.

Historic Preservation Technical Procedures contains hundreds of procedures for maintaining and repairing historic buildings. The database includes many specifications developed for GSA buildings and projects, as well as National Park Service Preservation Briefs, Tech Notes, and industry standards for the care of traditional building materials.

NCR Preservation Note Series  is a library of technical briefs addressing challenges commonly encountered in GSA historic building projects.The notes include specification clauses as well as detailed guidance on topics such as pest bird control, heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC)  retrofitting, fire safety, contractor qualification requirements, architectural artifact salvage, and repair and restoration of historic building materials.

GSA Technical Preservation Guidelines are illustrated briefs addressing critical preservation design challenges commonly encountered in GSA historic building projects.  Illustrations show model solutions developed for GSA projects.

Preservation Technology Resources  lists organizations concerned with preservation technology, education and technical guidance and other agencies concerned with the care of historic buildings.
