PNW 124: Climate Change in Alaska
This update highlights a presentation by Dr. Dan White on the effects of climate change in the Arctic. Dr. White is the Director of the Institute of Northern Engineering at the University of Alaska. Dr. White noted that the temperature increase of 0.6ºC in the last 100 years could affect winter frost depth, period of snow cover, and permafrost condition. PNW 099: AG 101 — How Agriculture Works
This update highlights a course designed to introduce EPA regulators to production agriculture and the challenges that growers face environmentally as well as economically. PNW 051: Northwest Indian College's Water Programs
Northwest Indian College (NWIC) is a 1994 Tribal Land Grant College and the only tribal college in the Pacific Northwest that conducts marine-related research and education. NWIC has three major water related laboratories — a water quality lab, a GIS lab, and a seaponds fisheries lab.
