Dr. White noted that the temperature increase of 0.6ºC in the last 100 years could affect winter frost depth, period of snow cover, and permafrost condition. Northwest Indian College (NWIC) is a 1994 Tribal Land Grant College and the only tribal college in the Pacific Northwest that conducts marine-related research and education.
