PNW 127: 2008 National Water Conference
This update highlights the 2008 National Water Conference held in Reno, Nevada. This conference included 200 oral presentations, 120 poster presentations, and nine symposia. Over 500 scientists and water professionals attended this event. This newsletter issue also highlights national awards presented to outstanding water professionals. PNW 125: Moving Science into Policy and Action
This update highlights our 2007 Regional Conference on Moving Science into Policy and Action. Over 240 people attended this two-day conference in Skamania, WA. Dr. Patrick Leahy (USGS) and Representative Jackie Dingfelder (Oregon) were keynote conference speakers. This conference included a unique mix of presentations, featured speakers, posters, and networking opportunities. PNW 107: National Water Conference Grows – Again!!!
This update covers the National Water Conference held in Savannah, GA in January, 2007. This conference has become the most important annual national conference on water issues. Over 500 people attended this conference which consisted of 340 presented papers and posters. The Pacific Northwest was well represented at this meeting. PNW 102: Regional Extension Faculty Training
This update talks about our regional approach to provide training to our county faculty in Alaska (boroughs), Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. In 2006, 30 agents attended a two day training effort which focused on regional groundwater and surface water issues. PNW 036: WSU's Water Quality Summit
Washington State University's (WSU) Water Quality Summit is highlighted in this flyer. This summit was held on campus in Pullman in April, 2004 and showed that WSU has a substantial investment in water-related activities in research, education and outreach (Extension).
