The mission of the Arid Lands Information Center (ALIC)
is to utilize the most cost-effective and universal means to
provide access to information on the nature, development, and
management of the world's arid and semi-arid regions. |
Arizona Remote Sensing
Center (ARSC) |

The Arizona Remote Sensing Center (ARSC) was formed 20 years
ago and serves to facilitate the integration of information
technologies in the routine management process by responding
to the real-world problems of decision makers. Scientists in
ARSC are actively involved in the design, development and application
of new technologies to respond to today's global problems. |
Desert Research Unit (DRU) |

DRU conducts research on water conservation, wastewater treatment
and reuse, economically viable arid lands plants, reclamation
of disturbed lands such as mine reclamation, retired farmland,
policy studies, and environmental impact assessments. |
Southwest Center for
Natural Products Research and Commercialization (NPC) -
formerly Bioresources Research Facility (BRF) |

The primary objective of the Center is the research and development
of natural products for commercial applications. The NPC will
bring together established researchers and research groups, including
student researchers, to achieve this objective in a collaborative
and interdisciplinary environment. |
Economic
Development Research Program (EDPR) |

We are a
program dedicated to utilizing the resources of the University
of Arizona in helping foster economic development within the
State of Arizona, with a special focus on economically distressed
areas within the state. |
International
Arid Lands Consortium (IALC) |

The International
Arid Lands Consortium (IALC) is an independent nonprofit organization
dedicated to exploring the problems and solutions unique to
arid and semiarid regions. |
Office
of International Programs, College of Agriculture and Life
Sciences (OIP) |
|
The primary mission of the Office of International
Programs at the University of Arizona's College
of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) is to support the
participation of CALS in international agriculture research,
training, and development. Its secondary objective is to support
faculty project proposals for international funding. |
