Landowner Assistance Programs

Helping Private Landowners Protect, Improve, Restore, and Sustain Private Forests

(FLP) - protects private forest lands from being converted to nonforest uses.

Forest Stewardship Program (FSP) -  helps private forest landowners develop plans for the sustainable management of their forests.

The Forestland Enhancement Program (FLEP) - provides educational, technical, and financial assistance to help private forest landowners implement their sustainable forestry management objectives.

Forest Taxation - information on forest related tax law

National Agroforestry Center - putting trees to work for agriculture

Reforestation, Nurseries and Genetic Resources Group - supplies people who grow forest and conservation seedlings with the latest technical information

Publications and Resources

Availability of EPA funds of Forestry - EPA funding that can be used for forestry activities that contribute to water quality - the 319 Program and the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. Both types of funds are administered by State water quality agencies

A Forest Landowner's Guide to Internet Resources - States of the Northeast
