Conducts annual surveys to monitor the fish and migratory bird populations, track diseases of cultured and wild fish, measure the changing status of waterfowl and game bird populations, and evaluate harvests by fishermen and hunters. It also conducts surveys of fish and wildlife associated recreation by the U.S. public and satisfaction surveys of visitors to the National Wildlife Refuge System.
