Title: Techniques for drying thick southern pine veneer
Author: Koch, Peter
Date: 1964
Source: Forest Produts Journal 2(3): 138-139
Description: Thick veneers cut from southern pine are relatively easy to dry, but they are not easy to dry free of distortion. The research reported here was undertaken to compare five drying systems. Factors evaluated included rate of water loss, degree of distortion, and the effect on strength. Effects on gluability were also briefly studied.
