Description: A model, named PTSITE, was developed to predict site index for loblolly pine based on soil characteristics, site location on the landscape, and land history. The model was tested with data from several sources and judged to predict site index within + 4 feet (P<0.05). A computer program for IBM-compatible personal computers was developed based on the model; the program is available by request.
