About NRCS National Water Management Center

National Water Management Center LogoOriginally established in  November 1995, to address water problems in the South Central Region of the United States (Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas), the role of the National Water Management Center (NWMC) has since expanded to include the entire United States including territories of the U.S. The NWMC consists of an interdisciplinary, multi-agency team of regional consultants helping implement water-related project activities. Functioning in five key areas: interagency coordination, special projects, technology transfer, water policy, and watershed marketing, the NWMC team provides support and training on water-related issues.

NWMC Mission Statement

The National Water Management Center (NWMC) serves as the production support center for NRCS in providing leadership, direct assistance, information, and technology on water-related issues for natural resources conservation.
