Allatoona Lake
Located 8 miles from downtown Woodstock, Georgia Volunteers Needed: Two Couples, 21 years or older with a factory-built, camper trailer or motor home at least 28’ long. Two pet limit per couple. Volunteer Park Host couples will be working a rotating four day on, four day off, schedule. Park Host Volunteers will be responsible for park surveillance; park patrols; fee compliance; issue user fee envelopes; however, volunteers will not be collecting fees; check for minor violations such as parking on the grass, PET and ALCOHOL violations; reporting vandalism and maintenance problems to Project Management Office. If scheduled to work on Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays, during the period April 6 to September 3, volunteers will man air-conditioned gatehouse from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for traffic control and to issue user fee envelopes. Victoria Day Use Area has 95 boat launching spaces and 95 single parking spaces. Approximate round trip of Victoria Day Use Area is .8 mile. A campsite will be provided to each couple with electricity (50 amp); water; sewage; and a restricted use telephone line. Park Host Volunteer must supply a physical telephone for camping unit for communication with Project Office. Average 25 hours of volunteer work per week. Park Host A will occupy Campsite 6 and Park Host B will occupy Campsite 7 in Victoria Campground. Victoria Day Use is located behind both campsites. Will accept volunteer for three month increments or for the full six months. The increment periods are 4 April thru 2 July and 3 July thru 30 September. CONTACT INFO: Volunteer Clearinghouse
