Birds to Help in: Rural Areas
Rural properties support important populations of native birds—including many species that have
difficulty adapting to more developed areas. Through appropriate habitat management, and by providing nest boxes for
species that nest in tree cavities, rural lands can continue to harbor the native birds that depend on them for nesting,
foraging, and roosting habitat. Consider taking action to help some of these species that often depend on rural properties
to thrive.
