Secretary of the Army Pete Geren and Army Vice Chief of Staff Gen.Richard Cody will swear in goal-breaking Soldier-recruits for the active-duty Army, National Guard and Army Reserve at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, 4 Oct., at the Jefferson Memorial to help meet and complete this Fiscal Year's national Army recruiting mission - including more than 80,000 new active-duty Soldiers. The event will feature about seven recruits -- including some from the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Md., region -- taking the oath of service to our Nation, either as new recruits or re-enlisting Soldiers, with their families.
