Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is in Washington. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz is out of town. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

Lawrence Di Rita, special assistant to the Secretary of Defense, and Lt. Gen. Norton Schwartz, director for operations, J-3, Joint Staff, will conduct a briefing at 2:30 p.m. EDT in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E781 to discuss recent OIF operations. Media representatives who do not have a Pentagon building pass and wish to cover this event should arrive at the Pentagon's North Parking Entrance at 2 p.m. for an escort. Media without a Pentagon building pass must have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.
