Secretary Cohen will address the Illinois House of Representatives on the defense budget and other military issues. Following the address, there will be a media availability in the Illinois State Capitol Building press room (Blue Room). The point of contact for the speech and media availability is Steve Brown at (217) 782-6360. An attempt will be made to pipe the Secretary's remarks back to the Pentagon. If successful, reporters can listen on Pentagon cable channel 13. |

Witnesses scheduled to testify include Gen. Charles Wilhelm, Commander in Chief, U.S. Southern Command; and Brian Atwood, Administrator, Agency for International Development. |
