French Author to Speak at the Library of Congress

Bernard Werber, French author of eight books, including Empire of the Ants (1998) (Les Fourmis, 1991), Les thanatonautes (1994), and the current bestseller, Empire des anges, will read from and discuss his fiction on Wednesday, September 27, at noon in the Mary Pickford Theater, Third Floor, Madison Building.

The talk is sponsored by the European Division, the Science, Technology and Business Division, La Table Francaise, the Alliance Francaise, and the Library of Congress Professional Association. Mr. Werber's work combines science and history with mystery and suspense. The talk will be given in English and French.
