Media Advisory: Cartoonist Jules Feiffer to Speak at Library of Congress

WHAT: Cartoonist, playwright, screenwriter and novelist Jules Feiffer presents a free illustrated talk at the Library of Congress. No tickets required.

WHEN: Friday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m.

WHERE: Mumford Room, sixth floor of the Madison Building, 101 Independence Ave. S.E.

WHY: The talk is being given in connection with a Library of Congress exhibition of 100 of Feiffer's drawings, manuscripts, posters and illustrations that chronicles the many facets of his 40-year career. The exhibition opens on Oct. 19 in the first floor foyer of the Madison Building. Mr. Feiffer has agreed to donate his papers and several hundred original cartoon drawings and book illustrations to the Library of Congress.
