Media Advisory: Global Legal Information Network Meeting To Draw Participants from NASA and Around the World

WHAT: Annual Meeting of Global Legal Information Network

WHEN: September 3-6, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

WHERE: Library of Congress Madison Building, 101 Independence Ave. S.E., sixth floor, Mumford Room

The Global Legal Information Network (GLIN) is a database of participating nations' laws, abstracts and legal thesauri, accessible on the Internet. The public also has access to abstracts of legal texts from the GLIN homepage at http://www.loc.gov/law/glin/. The September 3-6 meeting will include participants from more than a dozen countries.

A continental breakfast will be available each morning, and a demonstration of the GLIN project will be held at 10 a.m. on September 3. On September 4 at 9 a.m., a special presentation will be held on computer security with a specialist from the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
