Ridge Top Trail Re-opens... Thanks to volunteers!
Volunteers Kenneth and Anita Doss volunteer to improve current trail system at R.D. Bailey Lake!

Volunteers Kenneth and Anita Doss have volunteered to maintain the existing Salt River Trail.  In addition, they have succeeded in re-clearing and re-opening the Ridge Top Trail.  The staff at R.D. Bailey Lake and our visitors thank them for their hard work and dedication.

The Salt River Trail is an easy, level walking trail that runs exactly one mile on a one way trip.  Trail starts at the Visitor Center Overlook Gazebo.

The Ridge Top Trail is strenuous trek that starts at the end of the Salt River Trail, winds to the top of the mountain, runs the ridge, then winds back down taking you toward the parking lot of the Visitor Center.  The Ridge Top Trail is approximately 1.4 miles.
