The field of Human Factors in Aircraft Maintenance is comprised of a variety of disciplines, including as example: industrial, safety, and anthropometric engineering; medical and cognitive science; and a many specialties of psychology. With a focus on quantifying human behavior, this field identifies the strengths and limitations of the human within the maintenance system. The result is the identification of practical ways to ensure continuing effective, efficient, and safe human performance in maintenance and engineering.
