Bioterrorism and Health System Preparedness: Free Web-Assisted Audio Conference Calls

Please Note: The success of ULP's workshops rest on our philosophy of offering small, highly interactive workshops designed for specific audiences. As a result, attendance at all User Liaison Program on-site, national workshops is limited to senior Federal, State, and local government policymakers only.

To attend any workshop you must be in the legislative, executive, or judicial branches of a State or local government. Applicants not meeting these criteria will not be registered.

However, all interested stakeholders are invited to participate in scheduled teleconferences.

Generally, ULP workshops are 2½-day events focusing on research findings about either a health care policy topic or a policymaking skill. The workshops center on applying research and field experience to current policy issues. These are small, interactive workshops averaging 60 State or local government participants. Our presenters are senior researchers and policymakers from across the country. The workshops are designed to be research-based, objective, and non-partisan. A package price (averaging $500/workshop) that covers lodging, most meals, workshop materials, and a nominal registration fee is charged.

ULP teleconferences are a series of short (1 to 1½ hour) sessions focusing on the research findings and State experience pertaining to a health care policy topic. Senior researchers and policymakers from across the country respond to questions asked by the conference moderator and call participants. Some calls are "Web-assisted," allowing callers with Internet access the opportunity to view pertinent material. No fees are charged to call participants.
