The program is located in the Department of Biostatistics and is supported by faculty in the Departments of Biostatistics, Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, and Molecular Microbiology and Immunology. The program entails two-plus years of coursework followed by examinations and a research thesis, and emphasizes the development and application of biostatistical science to environmental health research and policy. The program integrates biostatistics and biostatisticians with other environmental sciences in an educational climate intended to promote graduates suited to collaborate across disciplines, identify key methodologic needs, then develop and apply statistical approaches that address those needs.
