Mid-Career Development Award in Patient-Oriented Research (K24)

The Mid-career Investigator Award in Patient-Oriented Research (K24) provides support for clinicians to allow them protected time to devote to patient-oriented research and to act as mentors for beginning clinical investigators. The target candidates are outstanding clinical scientists who are actively engaged in patient-oriented research and who are within 15 years of their specialty training. The award provides up to five years of support of up to 50% of the investigator’s effort to enable the candidate to devote this time to a period of intensive research focus to enhance their clinical research career and to mentor the next generation of patient-oriented researchers.
