  Overview
Holt Collier National Wildlife Refuge
Located strategically in the Mississippi Flyway, the Holt Collier National Wildlife Refuge will provide habitat and resources for more than 250 songbirds, wading birds, waterfowl, and raptor species including prothonotary warblers, great crested flycatchers, eastern kingbird, dickcissels, indigo buntings, bobolinks, roseate spoonbills, white ibis, great blue and little blue herons, black-crowned night herons, snowy egrets, green herons, wood storks, mallards, blue and green-winged teal, American wigeon, pintail, shovelers, gadwalls, Mississippi kites, northern harrier, sharp-shinned, Cooper's, broad-winged, Kestrel and red-tailed hawks in addition to resident mammals.


Getting There . . .
Holt Collier National Wildlife Refuge is located in the Darlove, Mississippi area, about 29 miles southeast of Greenville, Mississippi, in the heart of Mississippi's Delta Region. From Greenville take Highway 82 east to Highway 61. Turn south (right) and proceed on Highway 61 to Avon Darlove Road. Turn east (left) and proceed on Avon Darlove Road to Darlove, Mississippi.
