Following the press briefing to be held by Treasury Secretary John Snow and Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy G. Thompson, senior administration officials will hold a technical background briefing. This will be a “pen and pad” briefing, no cameras will be permitted. It will begin at 1 p.m. today, March 23, in room 4121 of the Treasury Building.

The press briefing by Secretaries Snow and Thompson on the Social Security and Medicare Trustees Reports remains scheduled for 12 p.m. on March 23 in room 4121 of the Treasury Building. Cameras will be permitted at this briefing. Additionally, this will be web cast on Treasury’s homepage at http://www.treasury.gov/.

Copies of the 2004 Social Security and Medicare Trustees’ Reports will be made available at the noon briefing.
