Freshwater systems include rivers and streams as well as sloughs, ponds, lakes and other water bodies with little or no current. Most of our studies in these systems start with inventories of chemical, physical, and biological conditions in order to assess the impacts of project development. Impacts of water resource developments can often be assessed using assessment tools such as Habitat Evaluation Procedure (HEP) or RBP, as well as a host of conceptual, numerical, or process models. |
