Eastern Region (R9) NNIS Program Overview
As outlined in the Forest Service National Strategy and Implemetation Plan for Invasive Species Management, Non-native Invasive Species (NNIS) pose significant threats to our nations forests and grasslands.
Within the Eastern Region of the Forest Service the Regional NNIS Framework provides implementation in the control of NNIS. Each National Forest aims to take an active leadership role to facilitate coordination between other government entities and partners to achieve mutual NNIS goals on national forest system and surrounding lands. This webpage is designed to provide key references that guide this process.
If you have NNIS information to share or are interested in being a NNIS partner, please contact the Eastern Region Non-native Invasive Species Coordinator. |
