School groups of all ages are welcome to visit Tonto National Monument. Children under sixteen are admitted at no cost. Teachers and chaperones are waived from the $3 fee by filling out the fee waiver form.
We ask that reservations be made at least two weeks in advance. For reservations or more information, please call us at (928)467-2241 or e-mail us.
When you call to make a reservation, please have the following information ready:
- School name and address
- Contact person and phone number
- Planned date and time of arrival
- Number of students and grade level or age
- Number of teachers/chaperones

Did You Know?
By 1915, travel to Walnut Canyon was relatively easy and inexpensive. Visitors could hire a buggy for $2 to $3, or an automobile tour for $4 to $6.
