Educational Opportunities Through the National Park Service

  • Hubbell Trading Post NHS welcomes student visitation and is ready to accommodate various educational standards
  • Park resources can often be helpful tools for teachers to accomplish educational goals

    Traveling Trunks are available from many parks and the cost is usually limited to postage.

    Materials to loan may be restricted to certain uses or certain areas of the country, and available in limited quantities.

    Distance Learning may allow certain parks to share curriculum-based programming about the park with your students through the web, audio or video conferencing. 

  • Hubbell Trading Post NHS offers Ranger led interpretive programs and other opportunities for students to understand the importance of natural and cultural heritage. 
  • Lesson plans have been prepared for different learning styles and audiences:
