South Dakota Joins CoCoRaHS Precipitation Network

South Dakota residents can now participate in the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow (also known as CoCoRaHS) precipitation reporting network.  The program, run by Colorado State University and managed by the South Dakota State Climate Office, allows volunteers to enter precipitation measurements on a web site which can be used by agencies who need accurate, real-time precipitation data for various purposes.  For more information about the CoCoRaHS program or to sign up to participate in the CoCoRaHS network, visit the South Dakota Climate Office web site or the CoCoRaHS web site.
