On February 10th, 1999 a pretty speedy wind event occurred across northeast Wyoming and western South Dakota. Most wind gusts were between 40 and 50 MPH. However, some reached 60 MPH. The rapid change in pressure behind the cold front depicted on the surface map was one of the reasons for the wind gusts.
