The Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights (OCR) maintains a list of Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and an approximate list of Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs). The HSI list is based on the most recent Integrated Post secondary Education Data System (IPEDS) enrollment data reported by the institutions to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
