FAN: Alluvial Fan Flooding Computer Program
FAN is used to define special flood hazard information in areas subject to alluvial fan flooding. The model does not define the extent of the special flood hazard area (SFHA) but, rather, develops output information that can, in conjunction with soil, topographic and geomorphic information, be used to divide the SFHA into zones of similar depth and velocity.
