Description:
A
postdoctoral position is available to study voltage-gated ion channels.
The lab is using gating modifier toxins to study the structural basis
of voltage-dependent gating in K+ channels. We are also searching
for new protein toxins targeting specific subtypes of voltage-gated
ion channels (e.g. T-type Ca2+ channels and HAC channels) that can
be used to examine the physiological roles of these channels in cellular
contexts. Candidates with electrophysiology, protein biochemistry
or molecular biology backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
