Postdoctoral
position in molecular neurobiology is available to study the composition,
function and intracellular trafficking of a diverse population of
mRNAs located in the axon and presynaptic nerve terminal. The expression
and function of several novel genes derived from this mRNA population
are being evaluated, using both primary cell culture techniques and
transgenic animal methodology. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or
M.D. degree and have less than five years of previous postdoctoral
training. A background in neuroscience with previous experience in
molecular/cellular biology is required.
