Description:

A post-doctoral position is available to study the role of immune molecules and the transcription factor NF-kappaB in neuronal function and neuron-glia interactions. The successful candidate will study the roles of immune molecules in elaboration of CNS pathophysiology and altered emotionality, using knockout and reporter mice, focusing on genes regulated by NF-kB in the brain. Broadly trained systems-oriented neuroscientists with backgrounds in two or more of the areas of histochemistry, rodent behavior, bioinformatics, immunology, or molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Requirements: Ph.D. or M.D. within the last 5 years.
