Neurosurgical Biology and Therapeutics Unit
Russell R. Lonser, M.D., Investigator
Dr. Lonser received his M.D. from Loma Linda University Medical School in 1994 and completed his Neurological Surgery residency training at the University of Utah in 2001. During his residency training, he spent over 2 years performing research in the Surgical Neurology Branch (1995 to 1998). He returned to the Surgical Neurology Branch in 2001 as a Staff Clinician. He was awarded the Tumor Young Investigator Award in 2002 from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He is Chair of the Surgical Neurology Branch in NINDS. His laboratory studies drug delivery for treatment of neurologic disorders, as well as investigates tumor biology and treatment.
