Volunteering - Venture Post 919The Venturing Crew 919 is made up of students of both sexes that have finished their eight grade and are between the ages of 14 and 21 years. The Crew is organized under BSA’s Venturing program and it is sponsored by the Volunteers Program of the El Yunque National Forest. The mission of the program is to promote the development and the interests of youth, using the adult's experience and the resources given by our sponsor agency and the Boy Scout of America. The theme of the crew is out doors. As such they serve in a wide variety of Forest’s programs and activities. The Venturing Crew 919 integrates the following areas of experience to make activities, taking maximum advantage of the facilities that the El Yunque National Forest offers us.
Most of the activities and meetings of the Crew 919 are made at El Portal Visitor Center, in the El Yunque National Forest the 1st. and 3rd. Saturday of every month. For more information call 787 888 1810 or e-mail our Volunteer program coordinator Delia Gómez. Crew 919 web site: http://www.geocities.com/venturingcrew919/index.html |
