EISENHOWER SITE INTRODUCES NEW CELL PHONE TOUR (Posted Oct. 2)
Eisenhower National Historic Site has introduced a new cell phone audio tour, providing visitors of all ages a closer look at President and Mrs. Eisenhower’s life and times in Gettysburg.

WORLD WAR II WEEKEND AT EISENHOWER NHS (Posted August 27)
On September 20-21, the National Park Service will sponsor a World War II living history weekend at the Eisenhower National Historic Site.

EISENHOWER NHS AWARDED TRANSPORTATION INTERPRETER (Posted July 7)
Site Manager Jim Johnson announced today that Eisenhower National Historic Site received a student transportation interpreter thanks to the National Park Foundation and the generous support of Ford Motor Company, Proud Partner of America’s National Parks.

EISENHOWER ACADEMY LECTURE ON POLIO: AN AMERICAN STORY - PUBLIC INVITED (Posted July 1)
David Oshinsky, a Pulitzer Prize - winning historian, will speak about the great race to eradicate polio as an American scourge on July 8 at 7 pm in the Lyceum in Pennsylvania Hall, on the Gettysburg College campus.

NATIONAL JUNIOR RANGER DAY AT EISENHOWER SITE (Posted April 15)
As part of this national celebration, Eisenhower NHS offers its Junior Ranger program, the Junior Secret Service Agent program.

Major Eisenhower and Col. George Patton were reprimanded by their army superiors for advocating revolutionary tank tactics in the early 20s. These were the same tactics employed with such success by the German army in the early years of WWII.
