ARMY

United Defense Limited Partnership, Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being awarded a $14,012,767 modification (partial definitization of a letter contract) to a firm-fixed-price contract for 62 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) M993 carriers with engineering in support of production, and the incorporation of U.S. engineering change proposals and unique foreign military sales customer requirements for the following customers: 42 for Israel, 12 for Norway, and eight for Denmark. Work will be performed in York, Pa. (44%); San Jose, Calif. (42%), and Aiken, S.C. (14%), and is expected to be completed by April 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 22, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-96-C-X069).

Management Analysis Inc.*, Vienna, Va., is being awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with a cumulative total of $5,113,617. This is a task order contract, therefore, the funds will be on each task order when they are awarded because the orders are stand-only contracts. The project is for the Cost/Economic Research System, Operation and Support Program (CERs and O&S Program), and will require three major tasking segments: (1) Developing new and/or improved data bases, including data collection, mapping, analysis, normalization, and data base implementation; (2) Development of cost estimating relationships, cost factors, costing methodologies, and cost models, and (3) Conducting special cost analysis studies. Nine programs will utilize the tasking segments, they are Aircraft Systems, Missile and Space Systems, Wheel and Tracked Vehicle Systems, Communication & Electronic Systems, Information Management Systems, General Data Base/Information Architecture/Future Technology (General Lot), USA Force Units, Financial Management and Operations, and Operating and Support Management Information Systems. This contract will be for the USA Force Units. Work will be performed in Vienna, Va., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 12, 2002. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 29, 1996. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Service-Washington, Washington, D.C. (DASW01-97-D-0057).

NAVY

Logicon Syscon, Inc., Dahlgren, Va., is being awarded a $30,945,582 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for test and evaluation of the AEGIS Combat System and AEGIS Weapon System software. This contract combines support for the U.S. Navy (95%) and the governments of Japan (4%), and Spain (1%), under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $187,953,294. Work will be performed in Dahlgren, Va. (86%), Wallops Island, Va. (10%), and Arlington (Crystal City), Va. (4%), and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds in the amount of $35,376 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 33 proposals solicited and one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Va., is the contracting activity (N00178-97-C-2002).

John J. McMullen, New York, N.Y., is being awarded a $5,106,286 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Technical and Engineering Services to support the DDG 51 Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers ship construction and delivery. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Miss. (58%), Bath, Maine (33%), Arlington, Va. (9%), and is expected to be completed by August 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 33 proposals solicited and one offer received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-95-C-2813).

GEOFON, Inc.,* Diamond Bar, Calif., is being awarded a maximum estimated amount of $15,000,000 (with a guaranteed minimum of $50,000) firm-fixed-price, indefinite quantity job order contract to provide environmental remediation, disposal and/or construction services at various Federal Government facilities and installation. Work will be performed at various facilities in the states of Calif. (80%), Ariz. (10%), Nev. (5%), and N.M. (5%), and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using the Small Business Administration 8(a) Program with 34 proposals solicited and 12 offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-97- D-8702).
