The THEL Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD) is a joint U.S.-Israeli program whose purpose is to evaluate the effectiveness of a THEL in negating the threat posed by short-range artillery rockets. The modified contract will result in a field-tested THEL Demonstrator by the end of calendar year 1998. Work will be performed in Redondo Beach, Calif. (61%); and White Sands Missile Range, N.M.
