DepSecDef White will provide keynote address at the christening of the Bataan (LHD)

Deputy Secretary of Defense John P. White will provide the keynote address at the christening ceremony of the amphibious assault ship Bataan (LHD 5) at the dockside podium, Ingalls Shipbuilding Facility in Pascagoula, Mississippi at 11:00 a.m. (CDT) Saturday, May 18, 1996.

Dr. White will hold a media availability with Congressman Gene Taylor (D-Miss.), 5th District, and Admiral Mike Boorda, Chief of Naval Operations, immediately following the ceremony.
