Points of Pride

• The partnership that we have between the employee union and management, and our highly-effective Superior Partnership Council.
• Our proactive and long-term response to the fuels hazard created by the July 4, 1999, windstorm that blew down a half-million acres on the Forest (see attached issue paper on this topic).
• Active relationships with State, local and tribal governments and a wide range of interest groups, as exemplified by our role in the Minnesota Forest Resources Council.
• The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness - a million-acre jewel that is unique in the National Forest System, and our well-recognized efforts to manage and protect it.
