Florida Public Hurricane Loss Projection Model

Region E hurricanes

The Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology has divided Florida into four Regions (A-D). In addition, Regions E and F are designated for landfalling hurricanes in Georgia and in Mississippi/Alabama, respectively. Also there is a separate category for hurricanes which By-pass one of the Florida regions, but do some damage in Florida. Regions A-D roughly conform to the division used in NHC's HURDAT to designate landfall. Below are the hurricanes in the AOML/HRD Base Set for Region E initial landfalls.
